The Foundation’s Board of Experts annual lunch was held in Paris on 23 September 2015
The lunch featured three presentations. Ms Jacqueline Délia Brémond welcomed the arrival of eight new members to the Foundation’s Board of Experts, most of whom are active in the field of oceanography and marine ecosystems. ‘We have become more marine-oriented,’ declared the Foundation’s Co-Chair, before turning to the eight new projects funded in 2015 and the events in which the Foundation is participating in the lead-up to the Paris Climate Conference (COP 21). Olivier Braunsteffer, the Foundation’s Director, reported on its partnership with Oak Foundation in support of marine ecosystems in Mozambique. The lunch was also an opportunity to hear Chris Bowler present the latest results of his Tara Oceans expeditions and explain the interaction between climate and marine plankton.
